About

The Montessori

House

The Montessori House is a nurturing environment for children from birth to 6 years old, where
independence, love, and respect are at the heart of everything we do. More than just a school, it
is a home away from home, where children feel safe, valued, and eager to learn.
This dream began in the heart of our founder when she was just a little girl. In August 2021, she
left her nursery job to start a small Montessori setting in her home, with just a handful of
children, including her own. Though small, she poured her heart into it, creating a space that felt
like family. Parents often remarked how much it felt like home—so much so that children never
wanted to leave.
As the community grew, we moved to a larger space in the heart of Ardington, but the warmth,
love, and sense of belonging remain the same. Even today, children still want to stay a little
longer; a true testament to the nurturing environment we have built.

Our

Nursery

Our nursery is thoughtfully designed to support each stage of early childhood
development, divided into three sections:

  • Nido (Birth to 18 months): A warm, nurturing space for our youngest children, fostering security and early
    independence.
  • Infant Community (18 months to 2.5 years): Encouraging exploration, social interaction, and foundational
    skills in a prepared environment.
  • Children’s House (2.5 to 6 years): A dynamic setting where children develop independence, confidence, and
    a love for learning.

Each room is arranged in a true Montessori fashion—simple, minimalistic, and intentionally
designed to promote independence and self-directed learning. Our bright, inviting spaces are
uncluttered and calming, allowing children to engage deeply with their environment. We focus
on nurturing the whole child, fostering not just academic growth but emotional, social, and
practical life skills that will serve them for life.
